Umbilical Design represents Sweden in ESA’s network for technology transfer: ESA Technology Transfer Network (ESA TTN). We collaborate with 15 other European companies, Space Brokers, within this network in order to achieve technology transfers from space to industry and society.

Umbilical Design works as a consultancy firm, and has since its start offered services within design and architecture for space and extreme environments. Today the company’s focus lies primarily on technology transfer, design for extreme environments, Volume Management and innovation. The focus is to help clients solve their technology needs and challenges by finding the solution within the space sector. We work in co-creation and close collaboration with our clients, and our goal is always to work with companies that have a high level of ambition regarding sustainability and innovation. Umbilical Design works mainly with large companies, to mention a few: Volvo cars, Humlegården Property, Electrolux and Karolinska University Hospital.
